How to serve CT Corporation System in New York Properly

CT Corporation System Registered Agent

1. Find the Company you want served by checking the New York State Department of Corporations -
New York State Official Website, to confirm the exact corporate name whereby you will see CT Corporation System as the Registered Agent. When you conduct your search if you discover that CT Corporation System is not the Registered Agent, we will be able to accept your documents to serve.
CT Corporation will ONLY accept legal documents for entities and LISTED with the New York State Division of Corporations EXACTLY the way it appears on your documents.
2.Be sure to type your legal document (s) to the name of the Corporation / Entity c/o CT Corporation System – not to CT or CT Corp.. Example: INTER CAPITAL RESOURCES, LLC,. c/o CT Corporation System 48 OAKS AVENUE FLANDERS, NY 11901
NOTE: Please place the name of Company you are directed your service to at the top and c/o CT Corporation System, Registered Agent below the Corporate Defendant / Entity name as indicated above.
3. Be sure the Corporate defendant / entity is exactly as it appears in the Florida State Corporate Records! If there is any variance to the corporate name i.e. Inc., Corp, LLC, etc, CT Corporation System will refuse service, you entity MUST BE EXACT. They will, however, accept all service of process when the name you direct your service to is correct. If INTER CAPITAL RESOURCES, LLC is the defendant The following is an example of what will NOT be accepted:
INTER CAPITAL RESOURCES INTER CAPITAL RESOURCES Inc.
OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE EXACT WAY THE COMPANY IS LISTED AS A DEFENDANT
NOTE: All of the above Companies may be listed along with many more in the New York State records. If you only put
"INTER CAPITAL RESOURCES" on your service of process documents, they will not be accepted. CT Corporation System will not know which Company/Defendant you are directing service to and they will only take your documents based on the way it is listed exactly and will not figure out who exactly it is that you are trying to serve. 4. Please do not put any persons name on your service of process documents, because CT Corporation System does not accept documents on behalf of individuals. If you name an individual, your service of process will not be accepted. CT Corporation System will only accept
process for the Company / Defendant Entity they represent and as it appears exactly as registered by the State of New York - AND NOT individually
